Employee Code of Conduct
Last Updated: August 16, 2026
The K's Kare Givers Code of Conduct sets the standard for how we work together, serve our clients, and represent our agency. It translates our core values—Compassion, Integrity, Reliability, Excellence, Respect, and Family-Centered Care—into everyday actions.
1. Professionalism and Appearance
Employees are representatives of K's Kare Givers and must present a professional image:
- Adhere to the agency's dress code, ensuring clothing is clean, neat, and appropriate for providing care.
- Wear identifying badges at all times when representing the agency.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, their families, and colleagues.
2. Reliability and Punctuality
Our clients rely on us for essential support. Employees are expected to:
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Provide adequate notice for absences or tardiness, according to agency policy, to allow for alternative coverage.
- Complete all assigned duties thoroughly and attentively.
3. Professional Boundaries
Maintaining clear professional boundaries is vital for the safety and well-being of both the client and the caregiver. Employees must not:
- Accept large gifts, money, or loans from clients.
- Become involved in a client's personal, financial, or legal affairs beyond the scope of the care plan.
- Share overly personal information or burden clients with personal problems.
- Provide medical advice or perform medical procedures (unless specifically licensed, authorized, and assigned to do so).
4. Use of Technology and Social Media
While at work, personal technology use should be minimized and not interfere with client care. Furthermore, employees are strictly prohibited from posting any information, photos, or identifying details about clients or their homes on any social media platform.
5. Disciplinary Action
Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously and may result in disciplinary action, ranging from verbal warnings to termination of employment, depending on the severity of the offense.
