Employee Compliance Policy
Last Updated: August 16, 2026
Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as K's Kare Givers' internal policies, is a fundamental requirement for all employees. This policy ensures that our agency operates legally and ethically.
1. Regulatory Adherence
As a licensed Personal Care Agency in Nevada, we are subject to specific regulations. Employees must:
- Understand and comply with the regulations governing personal care services in Nevada.
- Maintain current and valid certifications, licenses, and background checks required for their position.
- Adhere to the guidelines set forth by Medicaid, Anthem, and other funding sources, ensuring accurate documentation of services provided.
2. Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Prevention
We have a zero-tolerance policy for fraud, waste, and abuse. Employees are strictly prohibited from:
- Falsifying timesheets, care logs, or any other documentation.
- Billing for services not rendered.
- Misappropriating company or client funds or property.
Employees must immediately report any suspected instances of fraud, waste, or abuse to management.
3. Confidentiality and HIPAA
While we provide non-medical care, respecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients' personal and health-related information is crucial. Employees must comply with all agency confidentiality policies and, where applicable, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
4. Compliance Training
K's Kare Givers provides regular compliance training. Participation in this training is mandatory. It is the responsibility of each employee to apply this training in their daily work and to seek clarification if they are unsure about a compliance requirement.
