About this Service

Giving up the keys shouldn't mean giving up your independence or your social life. When driving is no longer a safe option due to aging, vision impairment, or recovery from surgery, running basic errands or visiting friends can become a major hurdle. KS Karegivers’ Transportation and Community Support service is designed to be much more than just a taxi ride. Our caregivers provide safe transportation and stay by your loved one's side throughout the entire outing. Whether it is navigating a sprawling hospital clinic for a doctor's appointment, visiting a local park, or attending a weekly religious service, our caregivers ensure clients get there safely, have the physical support they need while out and about, and return home comfortably. We help our clients avoid isolation and stay actively engaged with the world around them.

FAQs

Have questions about Community Access & Transportation? Find answers to common concerns below.

How do I get started with Transportation and Community Support?+
Getting started is simple. You can fill out the care request form directly on our website, or call the KS Karegivers hotline. We will discuss your specific transportation needs, typical destinations, and any mobility requirements to pair you with the right caregiver.
Does the caregiver stay with my loved one during their appointment?+
Yes. Unlike a standard taxi, public transit, or rideshare service, our caregivers provide continuous support. They will assist your loved one into the building, stay with them in the waiting room, help them safely navigate the facility, and safely escort them back home.
Whose vehicle is used for transportation?+
We offer flexible options to suit your comfort. Our caregivers can use their own reliable, fully insured, and company-approved vehicles to provide transportation. Alternatively, if your loved one owns a vehicle and prefers to ride in it, our caregivers can drive the client's car, provided it is properly insured and maintained.
